Meet Belma Medeiros
BellTrust Insurance was founded by Belma Medeiros, who brings more than twenty years in the insurance industry, including years in claims management at a national carrier.
She opened the agency at 528 Pleasant Street because too many families in Brockton were buying insurance they did not understand, from people who did not speak their language.
Today BellTrust compares several carriers and explains every line of a policy in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Kriolu or Haitian Creole. In 2026 IA Magazine profiled Belma on how the agency serves immigrant families.

Do I need insurance before I register a car at the RMV?
Yes. Massachusetts will not register a vehicle without proof of insurance. We issue the stamped RMV-1 form the same day so you can go straight to the RMV.
I have a foreign driver's license. Can I get insured?
Usually yes. Some carriers give credit for driving history from Cabo Verde, Brazil, Haiti or the Dominican Republic and some do not. We know which ones do, and that changes your price.
What does Massachusetts require on an auto policy?
Four compulsory coverages: bodily injury to others, personal injury protection, bodily injury caused by an uninsured auto, and damage to someone else's property. Collision and comprehensive are optional unless you have a loan or lease.
Can you insure a two or three family house?
Yes. Multi-family homes are common across Massachusetts and several carriers write them. We compare options for owner-occupied and rented units.
Can I do everything in Portuguese, Spanish, Kriolu or Haitian Creole?
